A waitlist on a pole and bottomless coffee outside while you wait was my first impression of Baby Barnaby’s in Houston. A name mix-up on the list and my party being seated about 12 tables too soon was the next. Thankfully, neither the other party nor the restaurant was too ruffled about the matter.

Upon being seated inside, we immediately ordered more bottomless coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Next was tackling the menu, where everything looked good enough to be chosen as my morning entrée. With prices ranging from $5.95 to $8.95, the menu was affordable and appealing, as was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The small space was cluttered with tables, with just enough room between them to squeeze through to go to the bathroom, but cluttered in a cozy and perfect-breakfast-stop kind of way ...

Foursquare Tips

  • One thing all the Barnaby's have in common: parking, or a distinct lack thereof. Be ready to park a block or two away and enjoy the walk.
  • Green eggs!!!!
  • French toast every time
  • I love the people who work here, great food and friendly faces.
  • If you're a noob (like me), don't look for a hostess to put you on a list! Go to the clipboard, if the list is long, don't be a dick, check the next page, put your name at the bottom, and enjoy!
  • If there's another page of names waiting for a table, don't pull a douchebag and write your name at the bottom of the first page, douchebag. I'm talking to you, Bobby.
  • Order the Suicide Pancake. Off the menu. No joke.
  • Get the fresh squeezed OJ....best in town
  • Try the green eggs with Apple sausage!
  • The Green Eggs are a good choice
  • The Dagoberto off the menu
  • This is *the* best breakfast in Houston with awesome free trade coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice from rio grande valley oranges!
  • You can't go wrong with the Breakfast Plate or the Green Eggs.
  • Get the grapefruit juice
  • Green eggs, migas with chorizo, OJ n coffee
  • Between the green eggs, the fresh orange juice, and the biscuits this is my favorite breakfast place in Houston!
  • Green eggs are scrumptious!
  • Solid diner fare. The potatoes are crispy on the outside, soft inside. Biscuits are amazing without being too greasy. The ham, applewood sausage, and even the ribeye are terrific. Good prices too!
  • Love Rex!!!! Amazing service and the food so yummy
  • Rib eye and eggs and OJ with a homemade biscuit. <3 Order that and you be in HEAVEN!
