Foursquare Tips

  • Eastern European vegetarian lunch counter. Go for breakfast hash browns, egg and cheese sandwiches on challah, and plenty of Old World charm.
  • Their Matzo Ball soup is AWESOME! (the only place I know of where you can get vegetarian matzo ball soup). Get it with buttered hallah bread.
  • Grandma Eric looooooves the pierogis
  • Perfect place for a cheap solo lunch. Challah grilled cheese and any of the soups.
  • This Jewish dairy restaurant remains a paragon of the meatless half of Kosher Jewish cuisine. Sit at the long lunch counter and enjoy cheese-squirting blintzes, egg sandwiches and savory soups.
  • It's like campus eatery in terms of what you order but ten times fresher and people are a hundred times less anal.
  • A regular told our reporter, "You see this counter? The countertop is from the 70s. But underneath it is the one from the 40s. They just put this over it.
  • The challah grilled cheese is fantastic. Very good soups too.
  • Vegitarian matzo ball soup w/ its healthy dose of dill makes your piehole real happy.
  • The fresh smoothies & juices are yummy & only ~$5. Bonus points because they're served in transparent red tumblers. Makes you feel like you're at summer camp!
  • Add fried egg to your grilled cheese, life changing
  • Jewish vegetarian heaven. Soup + stuffed cabbage. Do it.
  • The sandwiches are made on the amazing challah bread. The mozzarella sandwich is great, make sure you add salt though. Egg sandwich is amazing, tons of dill.

  • Matzo Ball Soup + challah bread to die for. Feeling real hungry get some Mac & cheese
  • The tuna melt is ginormous, tasty, and $7.
