The Autumn Cobbler Cocktail

Ingredients

  • orange slices
  • 1/2 Ounce  simple syrup
  • 2 Ounces  dry Amontillado sherry
  • 3 Ounces  Jaillance Clairette de Die
  •   freshly grated cinnamon
  •   Cinnamon stick

Fall is the time for apple cobbler — and by apple cobbler, we mean a sparkling wine-based cocktail with hints of cinnamon and orange. Ours is made with Jaillance Clairette de Die sparkling wine from France and Amontillado sherry. The recipe was developed by Brooklyn mixologist Katie Stipe. 

Directions

Muddle 2 orange slices in the simple syrup; add the sherry. Dry shake ingredients and strain over crushed ice in a Collins glass. Top off with the Jaillance Clairette de Die. Finish with the cinnamon, cinnamon stick, and orange slice.
