Most people think of wraps as savory. Why not mix it up and use them as a vessel for something sweet? This apple cinnamon dessert is easy to make and very tasty. The rich sauce adds a shock of sugar, perfect for those who wish to indulge their sweet tooth without going overboard.
Get creative and swap in other fruits like peaches or blueberries — any fruit should do the trick!
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, plus more for dusting
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon, plus more for dusting
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 fajita-size wraps
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the apples, 2 tablespoons of the sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook until the apples are tender.
When the apples are almost done, in a bowl, mix the heavy whipping cream with the remaining sugar. Chill the mixture in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
Spoon half of the apple mixture into the middle of each fajita wrap. Fold the sides in, until the wrap resembles a small parcel. Flip the wrap over so the folds are not visible. Cut the wrap in half, and place one half over the other.
Dust with sugar and cinnamon. Spoon the desired amount of chilled cream on top of the wrap. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
