This 'Vampire' Mother Drinks 2 Liters Of Human Blood A Month

Well this is an interesting diet of sorts: The Mirror brings us this bizarre story of a 45-year-old woman who claims to be a real-life vampire.

According to the Mirror, Julia Caples has been drinking human blood for more than 30 years; she's not solely subsisting on it, thankfully, but she has been drinking some 2 liters a month from willing donors.

"When I feed off of a person and drink their blood I feel stronger and healthier," she told the Mirror. "I know scientifically there's not a lot nutrition in blood, but maybe there's some value we haven't discovered yet."

Caples also claims she feels more beautiful, healthy, and energetic when drinking blood, sometimes drinking up to half a gallon a month. All of the blood comes from willing donors, Caples claims, as it was a habit that developed since her teenage years. Her ex-husband, who shares parenting duties of their two kids, reportedly stopped drinking and focuses on parenting so Caples can continue her habit.

In the meantime, her two kids have not disregarded the coffins and dolls littering their house, with her son adorably saying, "I'm starting to think she's a vampire."
