Organization Builds Out Management Team Following Acquisition
Pittsburgh, PA (RestaurantNews.com) Following the acquisition of HyperActive Technologies by the French company, the Acrelec Group, the Pittsburgh-based market leader has announced the promotion of Rick Smith to the position of vice president of operations. In his expanded role, Mr. Smith will oversee the operational management of HyperActive’s customer service, support and implementation teams.
“Rick has made significant contributions to our organization over the last 11 years,” said Scott Marentay, chief operating officer for HyperActive. “His operational skills combined with an in-depth understanding of the needs of our customers make him a valuable member of the management team as we expand our offerings to include our parent company’s self-service kiosks, indoor digital displays and other digital transformation technology.”
Since joining HyperActive as technical sales support manager in 2005, Mr. Smith has helped build and drive HyperActive’s customer service, training, implementation and support organizations. He has been instrumental in developing HyperActive’s strong relationships with the world’s leading restaurant chains, most recently as director of brand development.
“It is a privilege to be joining the leadership team at this point in the company’s history as we bring Acrelec’s innovative products to the U.S. I am confident that large restaurant brands will benefit from our ability to be a single-source provider of end-to-end digital solutions.” Mr. Smith said.
