New Yorkers are still waiting for the planned five New York City locations of the West Coast-based Chipotle of pizza that co-creator and former Michael Mina corporate chef Anthony Carron and Umami Burger founder Adam Fleischman announced in late 2013, promising they would start “opening within the next year.”

Anyone doubtful of the possibility of quality, personalized, 60-second-cooked Neapolitan pies cooked by 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria and showing up next to the Starbucks in every neighborhood can nurture their chain-pizza skepticism, but they can’t ignore the seven locations in California, two in Nevada, one in Illinois, and international offshoots in Dubai and Japan (where seven more are slated to open over the next decade).

Foursquare Tips

  • Don't let the line scare you. By the time you get to the register, your food is ready!
  • Great pizza! Wifi is password: 3104431961
  • This is a place with real Neapolitan pizza for six bucks; drinkable wine; cheap and delicious burrata salads; and an outer-space soda machine. Tip: It is vegan-friendly.
  • Neapolitan thin crust pies cooked in a wood-burning oven, with fresh mozzarella made exclusively for the restaurant. More good stuff: Gelato by L.A. Creamery (bring your dates, boys) & craft beer.
  • Look on the wall when you come in over your left shoulder to see what the special pizza of the day is.
  • Come in, order, and ask for Moock like coke.
  • Don't ruin your pizza with a bunch of toppings. Chill bro
  • Grab a menu while you're waiting to order
  • Keep the pizza simple and don't forget to order it crispy. Although there's no way to go wrong here.
  • Customize a Neapolitan pizza, then stroll through Westwood Village to split a $1.75 ice cream sandwich for dessert at Diddy Riese.

  • Really great assembly line brick oven pizza for 6 effing dollars, guys.
  • The secret to beating the long line is to order at the to go location around the corner and eating outside at one of the tables there.
  • Piccante pizza
  • Truffle pizza is good. Everything is baked in wood furnace! Sometimes the pizza is soggy. Tip: limit the toppings to two or three to enjoy it.
  • Pies come topped with high quality ingredients and are totally affordable, starting at just $5.35. No surprise that others in Los Angeles and across the country have copied the idea.
