Laurel Grove Inn on the South River in Annapolis, Md., is a great escape from neighboring Washington D.C. November and December are beautiful months for a cozy visit to the 18th-century seaport town. This B&B is situated on three serene wooded acres overlooking the South River, and is often described as a home away from home, but better! The owners are gracious and giving and the inn is beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable. During the week, enjoy a gourmet continental breakfast, full breakfasts are served on Saturday, and on Sunday breakfast is buffet-style.
