Eugene’s 16 Tons Cafe will host the 7th edition of Cheese Wars pitting beer vs wine, each paired with a cheese. The winner is always you, though, because it’s an epic pairing experience.
The 7th edition of Cheese Wars on Thursday, February 19th, features 5 carefully selected courses, and Agrarian Ales Brewmaster Tobias Schock will choose and present the beers. Wine Educator Tom DeVaul of King Estate will choose and present the wines. Cheese Wars past participants have included Ninkasi, Oakshire, King Estate, Brooks Winery, Upright Brewing, The Commons Brewery, Breakside Brewery, Oregon Wine Lab, and other notable producers. Award-winning artisan cheeses have been sourced from Oregon, Washington, France, England, and Italy.
Which pairings work best is something only attendees can decide. Cheese Wars is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the processes of making beer, wine, and cheese. This is a fun and lively sit-down affair! Tickets are limited. Advance tickets are $25 and include all tasting and food (artisan cheese and bread).
