Via 313 Truck Moving To Rainey Street

Via 313, a food truck that serves Detroit-style pizza, is moving their second truck to a new location on August 15th. Parked in front of Red Shed Tavern since November, the truck will now park in front of Craft Pride on Rainey Street, Austin 360 reported.

"This will be our last week at the Red Shed Tavern. While we are sad to leave South Austin, we feel like this is a great opportunity for us moving forward and we are looking forward to our partnership with the Craft Pride team," Via 313 wrote on Facebook. "Craft Beer meets Craft Pizza!"

Via 313 will have a soft opening on August 15th at the new place, and hold a grand opening on August 22nd. The food truck's opening hours are 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. every day, making it the perfect food destination after a few Texas draft beers at Craft Pride.

Drinks or not, pizza-goers can look forward to the pizza truck's expanded menu. Via 313 tweaked the recipe for their popular pizza, "The Detroiter," by adding three different kinds of pepperoni instead of two to the pizza. "The Detroiter" was featured in Thrillist as one of the best pizzas in America, so only time will tell how the new pizza will fare against their bestseller.

They are asking people to send in name suggestions on Facebook for the new-and-improved menu item. Those Facebook suggestions will be showcased at the August 22nd opening, where guests can vote for their favorite pizza name.

The entries so far include: "The Triple Crown," "The Diesel," "Ham-tramck," "The 3rd Precinct," and "Heartstopper Plaza."
