Woof! 'Bring Your Own Dog Brunch' At Square 1682

Love a good Sunday brunch, but hate leaving your pooch at home? This summer, you don't have to! Square 1682, located next to the Hotel Palomar in Center City, is bringing back their popular BYOD (Bring-Your-Own-Dog) brunches every Sunday from 9am-2:30pm. The copious outdoor seating along Sanson Street, and the special dog menu created by Chef de Cuisine Caitlin Mateo allows your furry friends to join in on all the brunch action!

For just $5, your dog can have his or her own special dish brought to the table. The selections, named after Square 1682 staff members' dogs, are special treats: Lola's Desayuno features organic eggs, ham, spinach, mushrooms; Calie's Stew adds a Southern twist with braised pork, grits, green beans, bacon, and gravy; Oliver's Moco Loco combines beef, rice, fried egg, and gravy; and Milee's Chow with braised chicken, steel cut oats, peas, carrot, and demi glace (when else will your dog ever experience a demi glace?); on the lighter side are Yodi's Snacks, the chef's house-made peanut butter biscuits. For every dog entree purchased, $1 will be donated to PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society), a no-kill non profit committed to helping the city's homeless and abondoned animals.

Of course, there are treats for the humans, too. Square 1682's entire brunch menu wil be on offer, including organic chamomile oatmeal, whole wheat waffles, and an egg white wrap with avocado.
