Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Come To Chicago In March

This March Women Chefs & Restaurateurs will hold their annual conference for the first time in Chicago at the Intercontinental Hotel on the Magnificent Mile. With the theme "Keeping It Green," the conference will focus on environmental issues, as well as sound financial practices.

Workshops such as "The Real Cost of Going Green" and "American Lamb: Nose-to-Tail Butchery" will be held for attendees. Gale Gand and Elizabeth Faulkner will host a Culinary Challenge open to members of the conference. Four rounds of cooking will lead to a final faceoff with a fabulous grand prize. Rick Bayless will emcee an award presentation for "Women Who Inspire," with food provided by host Mindy Segal and Jennifer Cox at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Women Chefs & Restaurateurs was founded by some of the top women in the food industry to help promote culinary education, advancement, and connection for women. This is their 21st annual conference.

The conference will run from March 9th through the 11th. Registration is open, and tickets can be purchased at the conference website
