Wisconsin Celebrates Strawberries

Savor the sweetest snack of summer at the 27th Annual Strawberry Festival June 23-24 in the historic downtown area of Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Local farms and wineries put their best fruit forward and flex their panache for strawberry creativity, presenting ripe delights such as strawberry shortcake, strawberry blush wine, strawberry pie, strawberry crepes, strawberry slush, strawberry ice cream, strawberry shaum torte, and chocolate-covered strawberries.

In the event of strawberry overindulgence, festival-goers can amble over to one of the food courts serving up gyro's, kettle corn, barbecue, seafood, Mexican and Chinese cuisine.

Events throughout the weekend include live bands, hay rides, duck races, and contests for strawberry shortcake eating, strawberry bubblegum blowing, and berry bobbing. On June 24th, the Merchants of Cedar Creek Settlement will host its Sunday Morning Strawberry pancake breakfast which is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
