What A Ravens Fan Should Make For The Super Bowl

The Ravens did it; defeated quarterback Tom Brady and his teammates and are the AFC champions in the NFL. On Feb. 4 they'll match up against the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans, Louisiana, and if you're not lucky enough to be at the game, you'll most likely be celebrating the Ravens' successful season at home. So here's what to make.

Most Ravens fans will be familiar with this one because every time they show up at M&T stadium for a game, these cakes are served up hot and ready. The M&T crabcake represents Baltimore in all of its crab-glory, so whether you're making these in the state of Maryland or halfway across the country, you'll feel like a true Ravens fan when digging into one. The secret to the flavor in this recipe is the Old Bay seasoning and Tabasco sauce, which gives them a little kick. Make sure not so skip chilling the batter for an hour, because it's the only one you'll get a nice, cohesive cake, and be careful with the heat while frying, because butter burns easily. If your pan gets too dry, add a little more vegetable or canola oil, which is easier to work with when frying.
