  • Free general admission except for special exhibits. Children will enjoy the displays of knights' armor, the statues, the colorful paintings, the furniture, the many small and lovely trinkets.
  • Great exhibits, and make sure you check out the memento mori in the collector's study. It's amazing!
  • The Walters is free all yearlong.
  • The Walter's Art Museum is acclaimed by critics as one of America's greatest art museums with a collection spanning 5,000 years!
  • Have you ever seen a Faberge egg in person? What about Knights' armor or medieval furniture? They have live performances, dress up tours, and lots of kids activities.
  • If you're having a bad day or just need a smile, go to the 4th Level (19th Century) and there is a giant painting of the most serene cow. I have named him George, and he will make you smile.
  • Free audio guide, pick one up at the info desk! Def don't miss the Arms & Armor, Collector's Study and Chamber of Wonders. Insanely amazing.
  • Free childrens art workshops on Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm
  • The museum is free except for special exhibits and its huge. Don't forget to check out the hackerman house for the Asian art. It's tricky to get to so ask for directions.
  • wow! this museum is free!! they could of charge a good amount if they wanted it has whatever art your into .. From renaissance to early 20 century. It has 4 floors and nice helpful staff. A Must see

  • Look for the extraordinary Rubens Vase, carved in high relief from a single piece of agate, was most likely created in an imperial workshop.
  • Take advantage of the self guided audio tapes. Also make sure not to miss the collectors study off the armor room. Beautiful!

  • One of my favorite museums...My favorite areas are: The Medieval World, Renaissance & Baroque, and lastly the Sculpture Court. A must see when visiting Baltimore.
