Tips

  • Don't come here if you're on a diet. If you do come here while on a diet, be prepared to question your motives on what makes you happy in life.
  • The Caf where, in 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Larry stops in Venieros to buy a French baguette that he would eventually use to beat a man attacking Ricky Gervais in the NY subway. Find out more:
  • Everybody says get this or that cake. I agree. But you MUST try the TARTUFO nutty ice creams w strawberry inside thin chocolate shell.
  • Strawberry millefoglie. Win.
  • Venieros Caf, with its stamped copper ceilings, Italian marble floors, and stained glass ceilings, is an old world style Italian caf.
  • Pro tip: get a box full of the small pastries when going to a picnic or dinner - everyone will love you for it.
  • The best Cake = Chocolate raspberry truffle cake
  • This place has been dishing out Sicilian pastries for almost 120 years and serving espresso before it was all the rage. All the pastries are mouth watering, but save room for the mini tarts!
  • Fruit Supreme Cake: They describe this as a 'fruit triumph' and they're not wrong. Amber sponge cake delicately infused with raspberry brandy, filled with bavarian cream and fresh fruits.
  • Veniero's has been around forever! Don't forget to pull a ticket and get your number by the entrance or you'll stand around for hours. Order a slice of strawberry shortcake- it's not even on display!
  • Don't be an idiot get a Cannoli
  • The cakes are AMAZING....one of my favorite places to get a cake besides my Dominican hot spots...
  • This is the BEST italian bakery in NYC!!!! THE BEST!!!!!!
  • Amazing Mille Sfoglie!
  • The mini chocolate clairs are dangerously deliciozo.
  • The chocolate covered cannoli is the best, but get a small one and save room to try something else too
  • Individual size cheese cakes with berries are heaven!
  • Grab a number, browse the counter and be patient. The line moves fast.
  • For cannolis, tiramisu, and traditional Italian cookies, the 100-plus-years-old bakery is the only place to go.
  • The Pistachio Chocolate Tulip Cup is scrumptious!
