Tips

  • try the gianduja ice cream
  • Gianduja is pronounced as "John-Dew-Ya"
  • If you cant track down a truck, you can always visit their tiny shop to get your Hazelnut or Peppermint & Chip creamy ice cream fix.
  • Get the Roasted Banana or Earl Grey scoops.
  • The maple latte on ice is amazing. A little sweet so try adding an extra shot of espresso! Oh - and the kale scone. You had me at kale ....
  • Who orders ice cream in the morning? That's right. No one. But for some miraculous reason, V.L. opens early. Snag a table (any table, they'll all be empty!) in one of the prettiest places in town.
  • Gianduja ice cream. Like Ferrero Rocher in heaven form. Add hot fudge too!
  • Vegan banana walnut ice cream is the best on the planet
  • Vegan tropico ice cream is amazing!
  • You've got to have the pistachio ice cream here.
  • Vegan sundae all day, every day
  • Vegan chocolate ice cream doesn't taste dairy-free (except it is!)
  • Ample seating. Great study spot - Wifi, outlets, bathroom, good lighting.
  • Best place to get ice cream in east village. Get a scoop of the earl grey and a scoop of ginger. Amazing.
  • Get the Roasted Banana or the Earl Grey.
  • Not just an ice cream stop! They also serve delicious Intelligentsia Coffee. They have a great space and rarely have a line. A good back-up plan if the line at Abraco down the block is out of control.
  • Palm Sugar is great!
  • Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Really rich. Try the pistachio
  • Caramel or earl grey. Or both
  • As of now there's no longer store wifi. They have a TimeWarner hotspot (TWCWiFi) which you'd need to have your own acct log-in
