Laura Werlin is one of the country’s foremost authorities on cheese. She is the award-winning author of five cheese-centric books and a sought-after expert and spokesperson for consumer and trade organizations.
Werlin has notably garnered a prestigious James Beard award for her The All American Cheese and Wine Book (2003), which was the first book of its kind focusing entirely on American cheese and wine pairings. Her most recent cookbook, Grilled Cheese, Please! (2011) is dedicated to America’s (and her) favorite food and a follow up to her Great Grilled Cheese (2004) that won a World Gourmand Award for “Best cheese book in the world.” Her other titles include The New American Cheese (2000) and James Beard nominee Laura Werlin’s Cheese Essentials (2007). Her sixth book, Mac & Cheese, Please! will be released in Fall 2012.
