Valentine's cupcakes

Rarely does flying on an airplane increase feelings of love and romance. But this Valentine’s Day, Turkish Airlines is giving their passengers a reason to see things through rose-colored glasses.

The airline will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu to all Economy, Comfort Class, and Business Class passengers flying out of Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., and Chicago to or from Istanbul through Feb. 16. The most enticing part might just be the cute pink and purple cupcakes dotted with little sugar hearts, or maybe it’s the complimentary chocolates.

In Economy class, the Valentine’s Day menu features items like fillet of salmon with sautéed spinach, grilled chicken with sautéed carrots and zucchini, raspberry cheesecake, and breakfast items like scrambled eggs with grilled tomatoes. In Business class, passengers will find stuffed eggplants, an assortment of Turkish mezze, porcini mushroom ravioli, a selection of cheeses, and a pecan tart. Each class has a selection of red, white, and rosé wine pairings on offer, as well.

But again, on Valentine’s Day, it’s the sweets that really make all the difference. Turkish Airlines will make passengers swoon with mini Valentine’s cupcakes, cookies, heart-shaped cakes, heart chocolates, and specially printed Valentine’s Day menus.
