Tips

  • Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. The mounted deer heads on the wall make this dive interesting. The deer asses make it great.
  • STAFFER DOUCHEBAGS GO HOME!
  • The Tune Inn Nachos are great for a quick snack. They are also LOADED with pulled pork and onions, so use that information wisely.
  • Tourists seek out the deep fried burger at this Capitol Hill dive, regulars just come to drink.
  • Roast beef sandwich is the best sandwich I've ever had. Don't forget the pickle spears - perfect! Find a bench for a nap afterwards.
  • Okay, the deep-fried beer batter burger? Sounds absurd, right? It's great!
  • Worlds smallest bathroom
  • If you find the West Virginia Joe sign you win
  • Grateful Dead on the jukebox, Red Sox friendly. Favorite Cap Hill bar for many neighborhood folks for many years, one of the good ones that have survived from the old days.
  • Pesto chicken sandwich tasty with yuingling draft
  • Yuengling on the cheap. So, heaven.
  • Matt is the man. Great place love the chicken fingers.
  • The decor is true dive bar, but don't let that fool you, this place has some great food. A must is their burger with their signature sauce...yum!!! (3 of 4 petals via Fondu)
  • One of the best dives in town. Get something greasy and enjoy the slightly rude service.
  • Wait in line and perhaps the locals will buy you a beer!
  • Back and better than ever after a kitchen fire in 2011. Some THIH favorites are the grilled cheese with bacon, chili cheese fries, and the burger.
  • Bartender Matt is easily the coolest guy on the planet. Thanks Matt!
  • Usually a great place, but check your bill. The female server with tatts padded the bill with a mystery $9. Said she blamed the calculator on her cell phone. Seriously?!
  • Best burger and value in the neighborhood
  • Though it is not on the menu, you can get Gravy Cheese fries if you ask, and put your conscience and the look from the server behind you. Fat-tastic
