Where To Eat On Spring Break — You've Got To Eat Sometime (Slideshow)

Cancun, Mexico

The party hub of Cancun was once known as a small fishing town, a fact still reflected in the fresh seafood that can be found throughout the city. One of the best spots for inexpensive, fresh local fish is at El Cejas, a restaurant in Mercado 28 specializing in ceviche and fried fish. Try the tasty tacos at El Rincón de los Antojos, or Cuban sandwiches, salads, and yucca fries at Qubano.

Panama City Beach, Florida

Panama City is not far from the Big Easy, and you can sample Cajun specialties at joints like Dee's Hangout or David's Sno-Balls. For the best oyster bar in town, it's a toss-up between Hunt's Oyster Bar and Dusty's. Sample local brewskies in town at the new beer bar Fishale Taphouse and Grill, or further down the road at microbrewery Grayton Beer Company

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

While partying in Cabo San Lucas, make it your mission to eat the best tacos in town. Competition is fierce between the taquerias Gordo Lee's, Tacos Gardenias, La Taquiza, and Los Claros. Don't miss the carnitas at Carnitas El Michoacáno, and for an edible adventure that definitely qualifies under "what happens in Cabo, stays in Cabo," brave the bug dishes at La Fonda.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas isn't all show; it also has plenty of great food choices perfect for easing your hangover. Start your day at Lulu's Bread and Breakfast before hitting up Container Park, an outdoor food market where you can find everything from tacos to BBQ. You can try the popular food truck Fukuburger, and for a standout slice try Settebello Pizzeria or the Naked Pizza Shop.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana has food that surpasses the typical resort fare. Try Dominican spicy goat or seafood rice at beachside restaurant Playa Blanca. Flee the resort scene and take a break with baked goods at Trigo de Oro, or empanadas and other Dominican treats at Delicias de Bavaro

South Padre Island, Texas

Start your day on South Padre Island at Yummies Coffee Shack, where you'll find killer breakfast and pie late into the afternoon. Local brews, burgers and other bar grub can be found at Padre Island Brewing Company, but if tequila is more your style, head to Blackbeard's for cheap margaritas and fried seafood.

Negril, Jamaica

No trip to Jamaica would be complete without jerk chicken, and you'll find an authentic rendition at Ossie's Jerk Centre. Go to Miss Sonia's for Jamaican meat patties, and Sips & Bites for more classics like snapper or rice and peas. The food is pricier at Rick's Café, but the restaurant's popular cliff jumping challenge is a quintessential Negril experience.

Miami, Florida

In between the beach and the club, fuel up at one of Miami's many notable Cuban eateries, such as El Palacio de los Jugos, Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop, or El Mago de las Fritas. At La Camaronera, you'll find the best fish sandwich outside of the Caribbean.

Daytona Beach, Florida

Daytona has the kind of food perfect for ending a heady day on the beach. Try the biker-approved burgers at Brickyard Bar & Grill, or Southern seafood dishes at Aunt Catfish's on the River. Great omelettes, burgers, and more diner fare can be had at the Cracked Egg Diner, and head to Mai Tai for solid happy hour dining.

Nassau, Bahamas

When you're in the Bahamas, go to where the locals eat for a satisfying, inexpensive meal. Try the curry chicken, fried grouper or conch fritters at Café Skans, Bahaman style fast food at Imperial Cafeteria and Take-Away, or "cracked conch" at Arawak Cay, known to locals as "the Fish Fry."
