Rounding out the top 10 were Mineta San José (California), Seattle-Tacoma, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Phoenix Sky Harbor, San Antonio, Portland (Oregon), and Oakland (California).

The study also named the worst airports in the country, which were Newark Liberty, LaGuardia, Chicago O'Hare, John F. Kennedy, Dallas/Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Washington Dulles, Chicago Midway, Miami, and Los Angeles. No surprises here, as these are also among the busiest in the country.

The study used flight data from the U.S. Transportation Department's Bureau of Transportation Statistics for more than 4.7 million flights in June, July, and August, 2013–2015.
