Tips

  • During the evening it's crammed full of young professionals. During the day it's less busy but there are plenty of asshats in fur coats who don't care that other people might want to use the aisles.
  • Block box wine is $10 for the equivalent of four bottles. Cheaper than Chuck Shaw and delicious!
  • For the over educated and under paid
  • Everyone in this parking lot is an asshole.
  • Go to Trader Joe's and make a b-line for the wine section. Excellent selection, advice, and cheer...the produce is good too :)
  • The frozen section here is the best part of this place. So many cheap options to buy for single serve dinners throughout the week. Plus, you can't beat their selection of beer and wine for under $5.
  • 8:30 am on a weekday is definitely the easiest and least crowded time to be in there
  • Get the mini Peanut Butter Cups! They're amazing!
  • $6.99 for a 750ml of Maudite at Trader Joe's - the 8% will kick your ass with enough cash left over for $1 pasta.
  • Trader's is awesome!! Lots of cheap but great wine. Fresh salads and great diversity of frozen vegetables.
  • Nice selection! Big Sunday crowds, long checkout, but worth the wait!
  • New queuing system with a single line feeding all the registers is a huge improvement! No more getting stuck in the slow lane.
  • They have awesome Latka samples tonight! with applesauce :D check it out!
  • 2012 Vintage Ale is here! $5. Need I say more?
  • The peach muscat wine is delicious and refreshing. And for $6, it's a steal. Great for a girls night in!
  • Don't be a fool... avoid the parking lot and just park on Longwood Ave or you will end up jammed in the lot with no escape. Trapped for all eternity.
  • I'm not about to leave a tip because then you people will go buy the entire stock of whatever I recommend and there won't be any for me.
  • Welcome to the crossroads of Brookline! Guaranteed to meet at least one Muddy River Irregular while here.
  • I don't drink alcohol or buy any animal products, and I don't buy prepared and processed foods (other than soymilk), but I still find plenty at great prices at Trader Joe's.
  • Best soymilk ($2.99/container) and raw almond ($4.49/lb.) prices around.
