  • The bar has Old-fashions on tap , as well as a make your own martini service .
  • Solid bar - great seasonal cocktails.
  • Individual apps are the strongest here. Beef cheek perogi and beef tartare were phenomenal. Skip the plateaus - not a good value.
  • Was there for the Taste of Iceland evening (food and wine pairing). Great staff, nice atmosphere, and wonderful food (though keep in mind that this wasn't their usual menu).
  • Best beef tartare in town
  • I had three dishes, all interesting and original. Highly recommended. Try the pickle veggies dip.
  • Cool spot, not a lot of gluten free brunch options, but the Pork Presse was awesome.
  • seafood is good
  • Excellent old fashions.
  • If the fried chicken is on the menu, you have to get it.
  • sit at the counter to talk with the staff and see what's going on. They offer the best tips. This place is awesome
  • Best of Boston 2016: Pastry Chef :: Meghan Thompson - Take her frozen yuzu souffl with poached quince, wild-bay-leaf ice cream, and toasted meringue shards, scattered like a broken robins egg.
  • The plateaux was perfect: fresh, raw oysters and clams, house-cured meats and a great selection of pickles and sauces. Also delicious: deviled eggs, tomato crudo and these roasted eggplants things.
  • How did this go so terribly wrong? Boring, dull flavors. Slow, indifferent service. No soul.
  • Horrible food. Nasty bar tenders. I've been here 3 times thinking I must've had an off night but can confirm, this place sucks no matter what day or time you come. Rude service--especially at the bar.
  • too salty, all about plating not about being tasty. very expensive
  • Brasserie-inspired Townsman features a long, lean bar with metallic touches a perfect fit in the chic setting of repurposed wood, leather chairs and industrial accents.
  • When you dine out, you want your meal to be more than just edible. This place over promises with a fancy menu and undelivers on taste. I tried the hen house specialty and the monkfish. Both subpar.
  • Best beef tartare in the city
  • Beef tartare is excellent.
