Foursquare Tips

  • Best mac+cheese. Mmmmm
  • Try the minty grasshopper dessert, creamy mousse is served in a mini canning jar with layers of salty, crumbly streusel and a lush whipped-cream cap. Its one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011
  • It's all about refined comfort here. Think macaroni with grana padano or shrimp and grits with chow chow relish.
  • As a southerner, I heartily endorse this joint. Fried green maters, country ham biscuits, greens. All done up right.
  • This place is has the best brunch. The Biscuit Bomb and the Pig in the Poke hit the spot.
  • GREAT D8 SPOT
  • One of the quaintest little spots for brunch. The atmosphere is just as great as the food. Avocado toast (gluten free bread available) is really good!
  • Food... Sooooooooo gooooooood. That is all.
  • Still my favorite mac & cheese in NYC! Get a small to share and sample some brunch items as well.
  • Mac and cheese is amazing and deceptively filling. Try a biscuit bomb for an app with a friend.
  • When brunching get the table the back near the window overlooking the backyard garden and try the mushroom toast!
  • Here goes: go for the chicken, mushroom spoon bread, ribs, pickle plate, skate and the cobbler. Oh and ask for Jimmy as your waiter. He made our meal.
  • Mushroom toast is a must have. Biscuits here are light and flaky.
  • Tried this when it first opened and it was really good!
  • Do Brunch here..instant cure for my southern breakfast cravings
  • Some serious brunch staples at this awesome 9th avenue spot. If you swing by be sure to try the mushroom toast or monkey bread.
  • Coctails are drenched in syrup, out of balance. The fake bookcase wallpaper is tacky. Why not get the real thing? Attention to detail is a sign of quality in every way.
  • Where do I start? This place is so good! Fried pickles, brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, and the grasshopper pie were all amazing!! Come hungry and leave tipsy.
  • Always order the pickle plate. Changes seasonally and is always fantastic.
  • New discovery: the bar snacks are awesome. Gourmet cheez-its included.
