Tips
- Don't forget to pet the sturgeons!
- Pet the sturgeon!
- Have a staring contest with a fish.
- Better than the GA Aquarium by far! More wildlife
- Did you know? The Tennessee Aquariums River Journey building is the largest freshwater aquarium in the world.
- Only use two fingers!
- Watch the sting rays before you try to touch them: they seem to come out of the water at certain places, so station yourself there for the best chance.
- Be sure to check out the butterfly pavillion and the manta ray exhibit. Also, the jellyfish are a must-see.
- Great turtle selection!
- The Ocean Journey is OK. However, the River Journey is a unique and fascinating experience. We had a great time!
- Check out the always playful otters!!! So cute
- Walk into the sea caverns! Look above towards the sun light, and view sharks and all manner of sea life!
- Free petting of sharks and rays in Ocean journey! Free sturgeon petting in River journey! They seem to surface after going under the bridge thingy! Try it! Awesome experience!
- Avoid the food court at all costs, it blows and uses the lowest cost ingredients; it also takes forever!
- Great place to spend the day, lots to see and do.
- Best aquarium ever! Plan to spend ALL day. It's worth it!
- Find out when they feed the penguins!
- Bring your walking shoes. It's great
- Love this place! The attractions are beautiful, the staff helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable! Great place to relax and learn at the same time!
- You can't handle the jellyfish exhibit on strong acid
