  • rad place to run
  • Very nice place to go on a nice cruise on your bike or skateboard. If you go close to sundown or night time, be sure to check out all the lights under certain bridges!
  • SUP at night! It's beautiful, usually very calm and you can beat the heat!
  • Boat rentals are back again by popular demand at Tempe Town Lake. Go to http://bit.ly/boats4renttempe for details. Perfect idea for a date!

  • Join the Rio Salado Rowing Club for the best masters rowing in the Southwest! RowRio.org, @rowrio, facebook/rowrio
  • Perfect for an afternoon bike ride! Not that many water fountains so make sure you come prepared. There is a nice big sidewalk with a bridge that connects to the other side.
  • Sometimes I come here to just get my mind off of things. I like to come at night because it is a nice scenic view with all the lights. They have multiple different boat rentals: kayaking, paddle boat.
  • Tempe Town Lake is perfect for everything! But as a runner, it's my go to place. If you start at the Art's Center and run to the freeway bridge and back again it is 5 miles! Beautiful scenery & clean
  • On my Phoenix metro dog friendly list. Personally verifying each one. On leash park. Lots of people walk their dogs here, so please be sure your pooch is ok with meeting dogs on leash.
  • Park closes at Midnight
  • Rent a SUP or bike at Tempe Boat Rentals!
  • Perfect place for a picnic, or bike ride around the lake. Keep a lookout for concerts and events here as well! Great venue :)
  • Watch the sunset while taking a walk around this beautiful body of water.
  • Look for the ASU Men's Rowing team here early on weekday mornings.
  • This is a nice place to go for a run in the early mornings to afternoons. The bathrooms are clean and there are water fountains perfect for after an exhausting workout
