Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande & Lingerie-Clad Angels Take Over Earls Court for Victoria's Secret Show
Last night’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was a flurry of feathers, push-up bras, angel wings and enough self-tanner to make even Matthew McConaughey jealous. And we were a little green with envy ourselves—some of the biggest names in modeling came onto the runway looking drop-dead gorgeous in some of the most theatrical designs the Victoria’s Secret runway has ever seen. Held in London’s Earl’s Court exhibition center, the event sent 47 lingerie-clad models down the catwalk under the eyes of over 3,400 guests.
The girls walked in two shows (both are used later for the television edit), divided into six separate collections. First came the Gilded Angels collection, a line of golden warrior-like designs, followed by the Exotic Traveler designs that saw Angel veterans Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio modeling this year’s fantasy bras. Created by the jeweler Mouawad and inspired by belly dancers, the pieces use 16,000 diamonds, sapphires and rubies linked with 18-karat gold chains. The Dream Girl collection consisted of fuzzy heels, black lace and pink chiffon, shown while Taylor Swift sang Black Space (so much girl power!), and was followed by University of Pink with Ariana Grande performing Bang Bang. The Fairytale collection saw dreamy designs with pixie wings before Swift came out again and performed Style while models danced around a cascade of balloons for the Angel Ball finale.
