Taste Of Little Italy Coming To San Diego On June 19th

The Taste of Little Italy event is a good opportunity to explore San Diego's Little Italy. On June 19th from 5 to 9 P.M., guests can visit participating restaurants in the neighborhood, who will each be serving a featured menu item.

Participants will receive a "Taste Passport," which has a map of the eateries as well as a list of what each is serving. Walk from restaurant to restaurant on this self-guided food adventure for a sampling of Italian cuisine. Try polenta frita with sausage and Gorgonzola from Bencotto Italian Restaurant, Caprese panini from Waters Fine Foods & Café, or chocolate "salami" with biscotti, pistachio, fennel, and orange from PrepKitchen Little Italy.

There are three ticket options: the first includes a tasting of fourteen restaurants in the northern part of Little Italy; the second includes a tasting of fourteen in the southern part. Both of these options cost $28. The third is a combination of the north and south option, which covers at least 28 restaurants for $42.

Children are welcome to attend the event, but some restaurants will be serving alcohol in their tastings. Remember to buy the tickets ahead of time, since the price goes up by $3 on the day of the event. Buon appetito!
