Tips

  • Perhaps the best croissant I've ever had, if you are into butter, which I most certainly am.
  • get the pain au chocolat warm and toasty!
  • Treat yourself with the Barolo Chinato dessert wine!
  • Au Lait is a close second to La Colombe. Outdoor tables and prosciutto croissant sandwich - great. "Milk" in to-go coffees is steamed, a big plus.
  • The croissants are buttery good, but they flake like mad when you eat them. Make sure you're not wearing nice clothes when you chow down.
  • Try to get a table outside and you'll forget the extremely slow service. Perfect corner for people watching.
  • sunday NY Times + coffee = east village dream
  • Best chocolate croissants!
  • Good Coffee. Chill Vibe. Sleek Design.
  • Try the Seared Tuna Salad - perfect balance of tun + quail's egg
  • Whenever I come in the morning, the chocolate croissants are warm. Even better!
  • espresso or cappuccino
  • The croissants here will knock your socks off. They are the real deal. Takes them three days to make the dough. Get here early for them though!
  • Best croissants in the EV hands down
  • Delicious kiwi gelato!
  • One of the best chocolate croissants in the city!
  • Refer to it as "Susan Lucci the wino."
  • anise biscotti is a 50 cent delight in a world with very few 50 cent delights.
  • Really enjoyed the brunch here. The prix fixe is excellent value and it is lovely sitting outside on a nice day.
  • Grab a glass of wine and cheese pre/post dinner
