Foursquare Tips

  • While the salsas are excellent, the taco fillings were are intensely salty. The cheese enchilada, however, is an excellent pile of gooey, sinful goodness.
  • The Shrimp and grits features extra-creamy sweet grits and shrimp sauted in a definitely not-sweet jalapeo-tomato sauce. Unfortunately, like good sex, it's only available occasionally
  • I could take a bath in the lemon cream sauce!
  • There is no such thing as a bad taco at Taqueria del Sol
  • Chef Eddie Hernandez's taqueria has taken off with four locations in Georgia and another in Nashville. For Mexican-Southern fusion, try the Memphis (chopped smoked pork) or fried chicken tacos
  • Brisket, brisket, and more brisket! Whether you get the taco or the enchilada, all things brisket here is delicious!
  • Solid food and drinks. They have a small offering but they knock it out of the park and it is consistently great. They have their rules about tables and the line - but - it's worth putting up with
  • Tacos, enchiladas, cheese dip, salsa, margaritas!
  • Food was delicious, a tad expensive.
  • Get the turnip greens and a margarita. Also the lemon cream sauce on the enchilada.
  • I absolutely the the guacamole here!! Be prepared to wait in line. It's worth it!!
  • If you are concerned about the carbs ten you can get your enchiladas and tacos naked!
  • Awesome and they will serve their products...naked!! (no flour)
  • Salsa trio followed by fish tacos! Divine!
  • The shrimp corn chowder is a must! Sooo yummy!
  • Seafood specials can be really special. Old favorites -- spicy turnip greens, jalapeno slaw and carnita tacos -- are still worth saying "ole" to as well.
  • seafood entrees - shrimp & grits
  • Memphis, Brisket, and Carnita with homemade hot sauce. Every time.
  • Go to TDS and get the weekly special taco
  • Most swear by the Memphis, but my favorite is the Brisket. Good margaritas too, knock you on your ass!
