Foursquare Tips

  • Black pork - yummilicious! Good place for big groups.
  • Go for the fried salmon skin.
  • SHABU RAMEN!
  • Tonkatsu!!
  • Love their spicy ramen but need to go down stairs to buy famous cream puff .
  • Tried the pork bone seafood broth ramen (hakodate original ramen) and it was so yummy! A good alternative if you're not in the mood for black pig shabu ramen. :D~
  • The service isn't great. The food I enjoy, but I wouldn't go out of my way for.
  • The wagyu beef steak had me at hello.
  • This restaurant shares its name with a Japanese food movie, which it lives up to. Order the black pig shabu ramen- the pork bone stock is brewed for up to 2 days to achieve a rich, creamy consistency.
  • Shabu shabu nice!
  • Tampopo BP (Black Pig) Tonkatsu Ramen + yummilicious Lava Egg. Love this set of delicious BP Tonkatsu dip into mild spicy broth then eat. The QQ ramen is more appetizing with this mild spicy broth.
  • The Soft Shell Crab from this restaurant is addictive. Love the crispy feel on the outside and just nice medium-soft texture inside.
  • 15% discount on selected items with DBS/POSB credit cards. Ask server or check menu on details.
  • Tonkotsu ramen(especially Hakodate ramen soup is awesome) the tonkatsu salad is nice too. But tonkatsu set menu is quite pricy compared to the amount.
  • You'll find something for everyone on this menu. Sushi, sukiyaki, soba, ramen, don, etc..
  • Standard of the food quality and service has plummetted. Food isn't even cooked properly anymore. All the dishes i used to love eating now taste like they were made without any care.
  • Cold and fresh. Just the way I like it.
  • There's a promotion for certain dishes (salmon chirashi, some ramen) going on for sg50. It's only till the end of July 2015 though.
  • Had been here plenty of times. Just never checked in. I must say standard has dropped for food. Wont comment on service as staff is lacking all over Singapore. Had a too dry Chirashi n too salty Ramen
