  • This is one of the most wonderful, inventive, utterly special restaurants in New York. If you're eating there right now: lucky you.
  • Just got home from the Sat night tasting. I hate to write like a food critic, though I am a "foodie", so I will just say that this was the best food I have had in the last 3 years in Brooklyn.
  • Super cozy, inventive menu, and incredibly welcoming owners. So glad I had a chance to dine here before leaving NY.
  • hands down the best kept secret in brooklyn. Food is out of this world amazing. Hospitality is so cozy it's like being at a friends house.
  • Dinner at this Carroll Gardens gem ends with a riff on afternoon-tea flavors: It's a layered dessert with a chamomile custard and macadamia milk. Nectarine and Peach Curd
  • Take Root is a twelve seat, contemporary, American restaurant. We serve a tasting menu Thursday through Saturday, with one seating at 8:00pm. No brunch, no lunch no yoga.
  • An overall good tasting menu with loads of great dishes, though no huge suprises
  • An amazingly unique, inventive, and special dinner experience. Each dish was presented with precision and care (and tasted incredible).
  • 2015 James Beard nominee for Rising Star of the Year - Elise Kornack
  • One of the most unique dining experiences I've been to. From the music to the plating it was phenomenal. We couldn't pick just one favorite dish. Highly recommend, chef Elyse knows whats up.
  • What started out as a noshery and yoga room is now just the former. $85 tasting menu is great. Tricky to get in, as theyre open Thursday through Sunday with only 12 seats.
  • For brunch, don't miss the steel cut oats, carrot, spring garlic and house-smoked ricotta. Scone with grapefruit curd is excellent too.
