Foursquare Tips

  • One of the original sushi bars in America, this popular Little Tokyo destination still makes very good sashimi and sushi. The yellowtail, salmon, live shrimp, and toro are especially well done here.
  • Get the normal shishito peppers not the ones with tuna inside
  • The hamachi and Spanish mackerel with bones were great. The Chirashi looks good but didn't order it. .
  • Live lobster sashimi for $28!
  • Everyone knows already that this place is amazing. Sit at the bar, order the sweet shrimp, drink loads of sake!
  • One of the best all around meals I've ever had and somehow also one of the most reasonable. Got the 10 pc nigiri w/ tuna roll and the toro and everything couldn't have been fresher and more delicious.
  • Fish is really fresh!
  • Parking validation for the garage attached to the mall
  • go for the snapper! Mushroom miso soup is good. Sweets shrimp was yummy. Seared albacore! You can't really go wrong.
  • been to many sushi place and this is the first that use wasabi grounded from raw wasabi. go figure how legit this place is. try the engawa nigiri. it's not on the menu, so ask for it.
  • Best chirashi in LA
  • Omakase. Let Yama taicho hook you up.
  • Charashi bowl
  • It is located on third floor adjacent to Manna BBQ.
  • Everything was superior to almost every sushi restaurant I have been too. Seaweed salad, clam miso, octopus and albacore were standouts.
  • The home of the two-tiered chirashi!
  • If you're a Chirashi fan definitely upgrade to the more expensive of the two. The uni is wonderfully buttery in it!
  • Says currently closed on Foursquarw but its open... 7:50pm Wednesday
  • Have the shrimp head deep fried.
  • Their Chirashu Matsu is the best I've ever had. Really great presentation. However, be careful when you order off menu, prices may shock you i.e. $5 for 3 tiny slices of oshinko!
