Tips
- Rotisserie Chicken is a must. Gouda Cheese is awesome!
- Be prepared to be heckled throughout your entire visit. Put away pride or shyness and BARGAIN.
- It can be a little intense as you tend to get swarmed the deeper you venture in. However there was a lot of unique and interesting locally made items and was worth the visit.
- Haggle for everything.
- Don't even think to buy anything here for price that they tell you . Bargain ! And be self confident. Give them your price . They drop it up to 80% for sure .
- Shop around. Most places have the same items. Someone will always be cheaper. Even tell them who was cheaper and they will best the other vendors price.
- Haggle. Walk around before deciding on buying something. Dont let them pressure you!
- The straw market is mostly local art and crafts but you can get all sorts of goods there. There is also lots of bars and restaurants around the area.
- When your stopped in Nassau come here and get something locally made and experience what haggling is really all about.

- Great place to interact with the locals. However every merchant will try to sell you their items. Be prepared!
