  • Go, take picnic, take a nap near Maya Lin's Wave Field under weeping willow
  • Date Night Is... a day trip up to Storm King Art Center. An absolutely fabulous place to escape to on a spring/summer afternoon. Bring a picnic and find the perfect tree to nap beneath.
  • PSA if you spent anytime cutting through the longer grass, check yourself for ticks. These sneaky critters will latch on and try to catch a free ride back to NYC
  • Prettiest sights in the Fall.
  • Have you ever seen the movie Jurassic Park? Well, this is a lot like that but instead of dinosaurs you've got sculptures.
  • If you love nature, add this to your bucket list. If you love modernism or abstraction, go soon. And, if you love sculpture go NOW. Pack a lunch & head out to Maya Lin's rolling fields for a picnic.

  • Extraordinary. Wear comfy shoes and prepare to spend at least 4 hours to take it all in.
  • One of the most romantic places I've ever been to. There's these 2 huge rocks that lean on each other only at the very top of the sculpture. Its called Kiss. Great place to rekindle a relationship

  • Get out of the city and take a day trip during the Fall! Get there early to make sure you can rent bikes. Also packing a snack is wise, although the snackbar is serviceable.

  • Bring a picnic and plenty of water! Gorgeous!!!
  • A photographer's dream. It's really breathtaking and a great day trip from NYC (less than 2 hrs).
