You've Been Reheating Your Chipotle Bowl Incorrectly This Entire Time
By Arianna Endicott
There's a better way to reheat your cold, leftover Chipotle bowl to ensure your food tastes as good the second time. Instead of microwaving it, reheat it in a skillet on the stove.
Empty the bowl into the pan, then warm the food over medium to high heat for a few minutes. Be sure to stir everything without overheating or burning any ingredients.
This method ensures that your food is crisped up and tastes almost as fresh as it did from the restaurant. You also won't risk finding cold spots from reheating in the microwave.
Though this method is a great way to reheat the ingredients in your bowl that were meant to be warm, cold toppings like lettuce could wilt, and sour cream could curdle.
To avoid creating any unpleasant textures in ingredients that are supposed to be enjoyed cold, like lettuce, sour cream, or guacamole, scoop those out before reheating your bowl.
Place the cold ingredients off to the side while reheating the meat, rice, and beans in the pan. Then, add them to the warm ingredients once you're ready to eat.
