Your Oven Is The Key To Making Sunny Side Up Eggs En Masse
By Riya Anne Polcastro
If you need to make a bunch of sunny-side-up eggs all at once, all you need is a standard 11-inch by 17-inch (or 9-inch by 13-inch) sheet pan and your trusty oven.
All of your family or brunch guests will be able to eat at the same time, and you'll save yourself the mess of splattered oil or butter from frying all those eggs in a skillet.
The key to cooking eggs in the oven is to turn the heat up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. This will cook the eggs evenly and quickly, though you'll still want to keep an eye on them.
It's a good idea to grease and preheat the sheet pan to keep the eggs from sticking while cooking them uniformly, keeping the yolks creamy while thoroughly cooking the whites.
You can also season the pan before cracking the eggs. This gives the yolks a nice, bright, yellow presentation without any distraction from the pepper.
