Why You Should Be Cautious With Those Table Tablets At Olive Garden
By Stacie Adams

Ziosk tablets, a recent addition at Olive Garden, allow customers to order, pay bills, and play games. However, there is a seemingly hidden fee associated with using them.
As outlined in a post on Reddit, a diner was flummoxed to find an additional $2.99 added to the bill after their Olive Garden meal.
Per the original post, the Ziosk lists a fee for playing games, but it's presented "in a very inconspicuous way." When they requested the charge be removed, Olive Garden complied.
There are supposedly tech problems with the Ziosk, as well. One Twitter user alleged that a software glitch caused them to mistakenly give a nearly 200% tip.
Ziosk tablets are bad news for employees, as well. A 2018 BuzzFeed News investigation found that servers who got low customer ratings were more likely to be financially penalized.
There's also the matter of cleanliness. On Reddit, an Olive Garden server claimed the Ziosks are cleaned only after closing or "if they're absolutely disgusting."
