Why Chick-Fil-A's Beloved Buttermilk Ranch Was Discontinued
By Camryn Teder
There's a lot to love about Chick-fil-A, including its diverse sauce selection. However, not all of the sauces stick around, like the buttermilk ranch dipping sauce.
Although fans raved about this sauce, it wasn't popular enough and was axed to make room for the new-and-improved garlic and herb ranch, smokehouse barbecue, and zesty buffalo.
Chick-fil-A's former vice president of menu strategy, David Farmer, shared with Business Insider that, "customers have been saying that they want bolder, spicier flavors."
Other fans flocked to Chick-fil-A's X account, formerly known as Twitter, to share their feelings of denial over the loss and disapproval of the replacement garlic and herb ranch.
One Reddit user almost stopped going to Chick-fil-A after the buttermilk ranch was discontinued. Some users called its replacement "garbage," while others thought it was better.
