Where Is Jica Foods From Shark Tank Today?
By David Tran
Xin Wang and Melissa Colella-Wang’s created their line of jicama-based food products called Jica Foods after discovering the root vegetable on a trip to Mexico in 2015. Their attempt to expand their company on Season 14 of “Shark Tank” resulted in a deal with shark Barbara Corcoran after a contentious bidding war between her and fellow shark Kevin O’Leary.
Today, Jica Foods sells regular and cilantro-lime flavored jicama sticks, wraps, and salsas, with flavors ranging from pineapple to mild and hot, per its website. Jica Foods’ consistent posts on Instagram have also amassed over 8,000 followers, but its Facebook and Twitter accounts haven't been active since January 2022.
Before Jica Foods’ appearance on “Shark Tank,” it was sold in 700 stores, including Whole Foods and Sprouts. Now, Jica Food has expanded its presence to retailers like Vons, Pavilions, and Albertsons, and its products can also be purchased on the company’s website or Amazon.
