Where Is Delighted By Dessert Hummus From Shark Tank Today?
By Crystal Antonace
When entrepreneur Makenzie Marzluff brought her dessert hummus company, Delighted By, to Shark Tank in 2017, she was looking for $600,000 for 12% of her business. The 100% nut and gluten-free hummus came in flavors such as vanilla bean and brownie batter, and although some judges felt her evaluation was too high, she took a deal for $600,000 for 25% equity with Mark Cuban.
However, shortly after her appearance on "Shark Tank," Marzluff declined Cuban's offer and bowed out of the retail industry because of the trouble she had getting her product on big box shelves. In 2021, she brought all production in-house (including pre-packaged brownies) and started her own production facility in Bozeman, Montana.
According to one Delighted By Instagram post, Marzluff was selling her popular hummus kits as late as 2022, but currently, nothing pops up when you go to their website. She has started two other businesses in recent years, and while Delighted By no longer seems to be a product you can get, Marzluff is proud that she followed her heart and switched to an e-commerce model.
