Where Is Copa Di Vino From Shark Tank Today?
By Nico Danilovich
James Martin is the founder of the single-serve wine product Copa Di Vino, and he’s also the first “Shark Tank” contestant who got to pitch his product twice. Even though Martin appeared in Season 2 and Season 3, unfortunately, no deals were struck, and his outings were memorable because of the contentious exchanges with sharks Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban, and Robert Herjavec.
The year after the show, Martin told Oregon Wine Press that his TV appearance helped Copa Di Vino grow in popularity with other investors, who have helped the company secure millions of dollars in financial backing. Sales also increased into the millions, with the brand selling throughout dozens of states.
Martin may not have left a good impression on “Shark Tank,” but he certainly did benefit from the free publicity, which allowed Copa Di Vino to triple production, move into a remodeled facility, and grow its own grapes. In 2021, Splash Beverage Group, Inc. acquired Copa Di Vino, and the group’s CEO explained, “The acquisition adds a remarkable revenue stream to Splash’s bottom line.”
