When Does Denny's Stop Serving Breakfast?
By Cynthia Anaya
Originally starting out as a 24-hour donut shop called Danny’s Donuts in 1953 before changing its name and structure in 1961, Denny’s has come a long way, thanks to its expansive menu and late night hours. Today, “America’s Diner” is famous for offering a wide array of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert options all day, every day — but that isn’t the case at every location.
Denny’s has always been the place to enjoy a Grand Slam pancake breakfast at 4 p.m. or a country-fried steak dinner at 7 a.m., and obviously locations that are open for 24 hours never stop serving breakfast. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic, you may find you’ll have to take an extra watchful eye.
In the aftermath of the Denny’s restaurant closings throughout the pandemic, many restaurants have unfortunately never reopened, and others have not kept their original dining hours. Denny’s had to permanently close 15 locations, and now only 50% of their restaurants hold their 24/7 hours, so it might be a good idea to call ahead if you intend on dining late.
