What Happened To Trader
Joe's Frozen
Garlic Fries?
By Kelly Douglas
Trader Joe's has plenty of products that everyone seems to love — from mandarin orange chicken to sublime ice cream sandwiches to the cowboy quinoa veggie burger. However, plenty of popular items have disappeared from store shelves over the years, like their frozen garlic fries.
If you're wondering if you can still get Trader Joe’s frozen garlic fries anywhere, the answer is "no" — they were discontinued in 2018. The fries made for a quick, easy, and delicious side dish for a variety of meals, and they earned good reviews from customers, but not enough people bought them for them to stay on Trader Joe's product roster.
Trader Joe's loves to swap out old products for newer ones, and sadly, frozen garlic fries didn't make the cut to stick around permanently. However, the chain does carry frozen mashed potatoes, which are better than they might sound, although you will have to add your own garlic.
