The Texas Trash Pie is made from equal parts pecans, chocolate chips, caramel bits, crushed-up pretzels, graham cracker crumbs, and shredded coconut.

The treats are then mixed with butter and condensed milk to form a thick medley of salty and sweet flavors, which are packed down into a pie crust and baked until golden brown.

With no culinary experience, Bud and Karen Royer opened the Round Top Cafe in Round Rock, Texas, in 1987. Their breakthrough came when the Texas Trash Pie landed on the menu.

It became beloved amongst the locals, earning Bud the nickname "Pieman." You can serve your slice with vanilla ice cream or get the authentic pie delivered straight to your door.
