Upgrade Your Vegetable Intake With One Easy Grater Hack
By Crystal Antonace
If you want to make vegetables more palatable to finicky eaters, start shredding and mincing them with box graters to get a daily dose of vegetables.
The best part about including grated vegetables in your favorite recipes is that you'll usually forget you added them in the first place.
Stick to vegetables that are naturally firm but easy to grate, such as beets, zucchini, and carrots. Zucchini and carrots are particularly good for baked treats.
Jicama and asparagus are also great vegetables to grate because you can make coleslaw and salad dishes more colorful and nutrient-dense.
Shredded vegetables can be cooked and immersed into your favorite casserole or meatloaf recipes, and adding them to store-bought pasta sauce can make it taste homemade.
