Upgrade Gnocchi By Roasting Them, Not
Boiling Them

Pasta is the gift that keeps on giving, and there are several innovative ways to prepare it that involve thinking outside the box. However, if you want to roast pasta, you must stick to gnocchi, which roasts just as well as potatoes.
That said, you’ll want to use store-bought gnocchi for the meal to work. Store-bought gnocchi may not work well when you boil it — unlike the fluffy, dumpling-like texture of boiled home-made gnocchi — but the texture is perfect for the oven.
Roasting gnocchi makes the outer layer of the dumpling golden brown and crisp while keeping the inside soft and tender. To roast the gnocchi, toss them in olive oil with any seasonings or herbs you prefer and then pop them into the oven at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for around 20 minutes.
