TikTok's 'Corn Ribs' Are A Breeze To Make In The Air-Fryer

From elote to popcorn, there are countless ways to enjoy corn, which was first cultivated in Mexico about 7,000 years ago. Corn is currently having a moment on TikTok, and the latest craze is all about making it a little more fuss-free; if you think corn on the cob is a bit too messy, it’s time to try corn ribs using this recipe from TikTok user Farrah Jalanbo, aka @spicednice.
In the video, cobs of corn are cut into quarter pieces meant to resemble "ribs”, tossed in a mixture of olive oil, lemon pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika, and then air-fried at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. The “ribs” come out perfectly curled and ready to top with mayo, chipotle peppers, lime, cotija, and cilantro.
TikTok has created other styles of corn ribs, including a Tex-Mex version with the “ribs” dressed in a butter sauce made of Trader Joe’s Everything But The Elote seasoning, taco seasoning, and paprika. If Tex-Mex isn't your thing, another user shared a seafood boil-style recipe for corn ribs using Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley.
