TikTok Is Weeping Over NYC's Decadent Winter Village Foods
By Nick Johnson
New York City's Bryant Park hosted its first Winter Village in 2002 and now boasts nearly 200 shops. Aside from skating and browsing stalls of trinkets, one of the musts of attending Bryant Park's annual pop-up is taste-testing the food vendors.
TikToker @babydumplingg tried many foods at this year's Winter Village, including a salami sandwich on a baguette with gooey cheese, a Belgian waffle, fettuccine alfredo, and a spicy chicken slider. She commented that the chicken sandwich's fiery flavor was a literal tearjerker.
Although @babydumplingg doesn't name any Winter Village vendors she visits in her TikTok, others have named some of the same establishments. For example, the cheesy sandwich came from the Baked Cheese Haus, and the waffle came from Wafels & Dinges.
